Are PRI’s services covered by OHIP or my health insurance provider?

PRI’s services are covered by your health insurance provider. This may include extended health benefits through a workplace plan, motor vehicle insurance coverage, or WSIB.

How does PRI collect payment for its services?

PRI can bill your health insurance provider directly, if that is an option within your plan. Or you can pay PRI directly on completion of treatment.

How is the decision made as to what treatment I should receive?

One of PRI’s registered providers will conduct an initial assessment, including a review your available clinical history. The purpose of the assessment is to accurately diagnose the condition and then a course of treatment will be determined based on your specific needs and diagnosis.

How quickly can I be seen?

You can usually been seen within 24 hours from your initial telephone call. In certain cases, PRI will also accept walk-ins for immediate appointments.

PRI offers a lot of innovative treatments. Are they proven to work?

Yes, all of PRI’s treatment modalities are proven to be safe and effective. Our treatment programs are not theoretical, all of our registered providers have clinically proven experience in administering the various treatment options with measurable and definitive results.

How long does treatment last?

Initial assessment usually takes an hour to provide an accurate diagnosis. Subsequent sessions vary between 30 minutes to one hour, depending on the course of treatment and the specific condition.

Can I stop treatment at any time?

Yes, you can stop treatment whenever you wish. It is always your choice. However, your health insurance provider or family doctor may recommend that treatment continue in order to fully recover or repair the condition being treated. In certain cases, PRI may recommend that a certain treatment be stopped and an alternative course of therapy be pursued if the initial treatment is not achieving the desired results.

What are the fees for each service?

Physiotherapy: $90 for the initial assessment and $60 for subsequent sessions.

Chiropractic: $90 for the initial assessment and $50 for subsequent sessions.

Osteotherapy: $100 for the initial assessment and subsequent sessions are billed at $45 for 30 minutes and $90 for a full hour.

Aquatic Therapy: $60 for a 30-minute session.

Massage Therapy: $90 plus taxes for one hour; $45 plus taxes for 30 minutes.

Do I need to see my doctor first?

Not necessarily. However, some insurance providers will require a Doctor’s referral to qualify for coverage. For chronic conditions, it is optimal that your Family Doctor be aware of your diagnosis and treatment plan, in order to monitor and document your progress.

Do you make house calls?

In certain situations, in-home treatment sessions can be arranged.

Can transportation be arranged to bring me to the clinic?

Depending on your insurance coverage, transportation to and from appointments can be arranged.
